Great news! We have re-enabled The 99 Cents Lobby site to function again!

 

Please be aware, however, that our elected officials still stubbornly refuse to utilize this site. Unfortunately they may never read your important "letter" that you write here. They continue to demand that emails must go through their individual web sites forcing you to visit hundreds of different sites to contact them and of course, there is no guarantee that they will actually "read" that email either!

 

We remain extremely hopeful that with increased usage and our continual encouragement and invitation to them that they will join the site eventually. A congressional consultant has told us that we may need to be much larger in volume to be "recognized". Please recommend to your representatives through their sites that they utilize this web site.

 

Even though all their votes can affect ALL our lives, businesses and future, our elected officials often say they do not have the time to read emails from people outside their district or state. However, they somehow manage to make time to meet with lobbyists and large contributors (Waxman met with Solyndra executives!), attend fundraising events, go on "fact finding" trips around the world and go on television shows all the time. Perhaps one day they will listen to you and all of us in The 99 Cents Lobby as well.

WHY ARE WE HERE?  -  No doubt the reason you are visiting this site is because you heard about us on a grassroots level. Citizens of this great country and members of all political parties are expressing dismay about our country’s past actions, the security of our future, and the lack of recognition by our elected officials.

FOR ALL OF US  -  We established this site to make one strong voice of many voices.  We believe in the value of the individual. We may all have different opinions and ideas on a huge variety of issues. We have a much greater chance of being heard when our voices sing together.

YOU ARE THE LOBBY  -  This web site does not support or lobby a particular candidate, elected official or political party. It is a lobby of YOUR WORDS, your ideas, your opinions and your “letters”. It is time for you to TELL them!

TOPICS  -  Issues, topics and ideas may come and go. You are not limited to what WE think is important. If you don’t see that your subject of interest or concern is already an available subject, you are free to be the first.

WHO READS MY “LETTER”?  -  You can write a single “letter” and direct it to nearly 600 people!!!!!  You choose who can read your “letter” in Step 5 of the process. We  contact all the elected officials listed in Step 5 of the “letter” writing process to encourage them to view all their “letters” free of charge to them!! The “letters” remain available on the site for your chosen recipients to read for one year. As in any communication, unfortunately, we cannot force them to read or respond to them. We can only provide this vehicle for writing.  Any and all requests for refunds will be honored. Registered guests may also email a copy to friends and family or submit it for display on this site.
